Fabric Panel Manufacturing

FPM (Fabric Panel Manufacturing)

For creating fabric structures using frame support, we use Fabric Panel manufacturing with kedered single-bay panels or large multi-bay panels. You can identify the best fabric for framing the connection system and the optimum fabric for your application with our engineering and design support.

We use a wide variety of fabrics, including PVC-coated and laminated fabrics, polyethylene fabrics, Tenara, and clear fluoropolymer on glass yarn (Flexlight), in our work. Our Literature section includes a list of PDFs referencing the most popular fabrics used by Lightweight Manufacturing.

Large panels

Large panel systems are commonly used for steel frame-supported systems. We can tension them with pipes and pockets at the edges of the panels. The frame shape allows for the most efficient installation of large panels without attaching to intermediary arches.

Keder panels

The use of keder panels for permanent frame-supported structures is common because the keder connection offers a reliable connection that is easy to install by sliding in rectangular panels. During each phase of the installation, we connect the fabric to the frame. In aluminum frame systems, we extrude the keder track into the main extrusions at no extra cost, and we almost always connect the fabric to it. On a steel frame, the aluminum keder track adds extra cost and additional installation work.
